Here
are some of our most frequently asked questions:
Will
this plan suit my web site?
This
hosting plan will suit 90% of web sites.
Please see our features
page for a full list of what this plan can
and can't do.
How
many page views can I get with 100GB?
This
will depend on your site content. 100GB is enough
bandwidth to supply all visitors to all our company
web sites over a whole year twice over. Across all
our brands we have very few customers using more
than this per month.
Why
is this so cheap?
The
biggest costs in web hosting are bandwidth and system
maintenance (staff costs). By putting fewer sites
per server we improve reliability. This reduces
staff costs, because systems don't break down. We
source bandwidth very cheaply by buying in bulk
to reduce this cost to the business.
What
sort of support can I expect?
We
provide a searchable support
manual which should answer most of your questions.
If you have a real server technical problem you
can contact us and we
will reply within office hours.
If you require a web hosting plan with 24/7 technical
support we strongly recommend you look at our flagship
brand Hostroute.com.
What
sort of servers do you host sites on?
The
servers we use are Fedora Linux running Apache web
server. We use the Cpanel control panel system.
How
do I know you will still be here in 12 months time?
Please
visit www.hostroute.net
to view our range of business operations in the
US, Canada and UK. This is not a "bedroom ISP"
run by teenagers and you can be assured that we
will be around for a long time to come.
Do
you do daily back ups?
We
make daily backups of your site but we make no guarantee
of their integrity. The chances of something going
wrong with a backup is slight but it is your responsibility
to keep back ups of your site either by just keeping
a local copy and uploading from it or by using the
control panel backup feature to download a copy
of the site occasionally.
Can
you host my Adult content/MP3's Bulletin Board?
Please
see our terms of service for full details, but briefly:
